Occupational Licenses

In 2012, the City Council passed Ordinance 2012-03, requiring all businesses operating within the City limits to obtain a City of Blountstown Occupational License.  

• This requirement provides protection to existing businesses by giving the City better control over what new businesses open up and where.
• It allows the City to know who the actual owners are.
• It requires mobile vendors/peddlers to go through the application process and obtain a license to sell products or services.
• It gives businesses an annual fire inspection at no additional cost.
